My writing career began with short fiction.
Short stories are an interesting genre and one that really pushes your writing skills.
This week I was asked to be one of the Judges for an international writing competition for Twist and Twain which I’m very excited about. I’d love you to join me!
I want to hear your stories! Entries aren’t quite open yet but short fiction takes a while to develop, so I thought I’d give you a head start.
If you have a story idea you’ve been working on, here’s your motivation to perfect it. Or come up with a brand new idea.

Even though I’ve built my career on non-fiction, short fiction writing helped me understand story-telling, dialogue, creative structure, and so much more. It’s also a lot of fun! I hope you give it a go.
