I woke up to nice news this weekend. My personal essay was selected as one of the top 100 honorable mentions in the Medium Writing Challenge.

In a contest with almost 10K entries, it feels like quite an honor.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo?

November is the month many writers try to complete a 50,000 word project. This year, I’ve decided to give it a go.

I’ve been using this free goals tool to help keep me focused and so far it’s been very motivating.

It helped me churn out 16K+ words last week! I’m pretty sure that’s a record for me.

Nonfiction writers and memoirists can join in with NaNoWriMo too. There’s an option to set your own goals.
