Hi writing family,
Happy New Year! I hope you are all well and safely enjoying your holidays, however that looks for 2022.
We’re keeping New Year’s simple and small town here. I’ll be watching my husband do his music thing in the town square.
We’re very lucky to have no COVID in our town (yet), but gatherings are still pretty small and cautious.
There’ll be no New Year’s Resolutions though.
I wrote about that and “The Fresh Start” Effect this week.
Mini-goals, however, are something I do practice!
For some of you, bigger bylines might be your mini-goal for 2022.
New York Times is one of the biggest bylines you can get, but we all know that’s not easy. One sneaky way in is through their puzzle section. Here’s the details if you’re keen to give it a go.
If you don’t feel ready to pitch your essays, learning to improve them could be a great 2022 goal.
My Personal Essay course is open. It’s helped many new writers get their essays to publishable standard. Feel free to ask questions and check it out.
Have a great week!
Kelly xx
Do you make resolutions? Let me know in the comments.
Hi Kelly. I don’t make resolutions but I do set goals. I’m trying to improve my process this year.
