These are great tips! Right now I only post notes and long form. Is there a certain amount of subscribers you recommend we need before starting a publication?
You don't have to start a publication if you'd prefer to just post under your own name. If you want to start a publication, there are no rules. You can use your current posts and start one now.
Loved the tips and the tone of this post! It read like "hey this is your home and here's how you make it cosier and truly yours" and not like "things you better be doing if you want to succeed" 😄

This is GOLD. Solid gold. Thank you for these tips, especially the details on how to create a logo and header. I've been wanting to update mine, and to have this clearly explained helps.
These are great tips. I’m still not happy with my header image and will continue to tweak it. I also discovered sections yesterday and that works amazingly well since I write about multiple topics.
Agree with them all, but especially number 3! There's a few (particularly women I've seen) who have these amazingly beautiful pictures of themselves... That have AI written all over them. Then I checked out some of the live streams and went "WHOA. Not the same as your picture." Which I mean it's fine, you love how AI dressed you up so you used the picture and it maybe helped get another 100 subscribers. 🤷🏻♀️
That's the thing. If you attracting people because they think you're out-of-this-world beautiful, but you're not talking about beauty products or whatever... They're really not who you want, and they'll realize you don't look like that eventually and leave. Or they won't because they're not engaging with what you're doing, they just liked how you look.

Thanks for the response! I’m still kinda new to Substack and figuring all these features out

I really like that. I'm glad it read that way.
This is really helpful!
I'm glad! I'll be adding more Substack content in the next few weeks.
Really insightful thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks for this:)

Thank you!
I LOVE your link to your website and writing portfolio!! So beautiful. I need to get organized and create one of those.
Thank you! And don’t be fooled into thinking I’m organized…😂

The sections look great. I agree.
All great suggestions. I am going to give this some real thought! The updated photo would be the scariest…
Haha! You're not wrong there.
Some good tips, Kelly. Thanks.
I really like the description you have for your Substack, Nicholas. Very "voicey". It instantly lets me know it's not a boring, generic read!

Maybe? Are they the kind of subscribers we want though?
