Loved the tips and the tone of this post! It read like "hey this is your home and here's how you make it cosier and truly yours" and not like "things you better be doing if you want to succeed" 😄

These are great tips! Right now I only post notes and long form. Is there a certain amount of subscribers you recommend we need before starting a publication?

You don't have to start a publication if you'd prefer to just post under your own name. If you want to start a publication, there are no rules. You can use your current posts and start one now.

Love the tips! Thank you! I just started my Substack publication last month, little by little, and this makes me excited to do all the little artsy things that I maybe wouldn't have thought were important.

I did not know you can edit your skip button. Very cool. How do you get the headers so big? I tried customizing one for mine but it looks so small.

Hi! Thanks for all the tips! I'm making a wordmark for my substack at the moment, but I can't seem to get it big enough. I've tried making the pixel dimensions a lot bigger than the minimum, but the size when I add it to my publication doesn't change. The size its doing it isn't big enough to be easy to read I don't think :) Do you have any tips on making the wordmark big enough to look good? Thanks so much!

Hi Charlotte, I've had a big play around with the wordmark and yes, I agree, it comes out too small. I've looked up the help topics around it and it seems that's just the size it currently is. Perhaps we all need to send Substack a request to make it larger and they might change the settings.
