I’ve been working alongside Dan Frischman, an actor and director, this week to get his piece ready to publish in Inspired Writer.
Dan was Chris on Nickelodeon’s Kenan & Kel and ABC’s Head of the Class. (My husband flipped out and might have had a fanboy moment when Dan emailed!)
He’s collected 22 fantastic writing tips for us and I just want to copy them all onto post-it notes and keep them on my wall as a reminder, like these ones:
“Write to discover about yourself. Be brave enough to delve into the rough edges of your life and use it in your work. The public responds to naked honesty.”
“You’re not going to finish your book as fast as you want to. You may have a deadline, but creativity doesn’t, so don’t rush any of it. Let your story take the time it needs to become great. Nobody says, “You have to read this pretty good book.”’
